Yakshi: A tree-nymph or local fertility spirit occuring in Buddhist and Hindu art and religion.
Yellowing: Discolouration of an oil painting, the chief causes of which are the excessive use of oil as a vehicle, improper siccative, pigment, or glaze, and dampness and darkness, applying any of the varnishes that are prone to yellow with age; or most often - an accumulation of dirt embedded into the varnish.
